St George’s Hall and Hope Street Hotel Liverpool wedding photography

Wedding photography at St George’s Hall and Hope Street Hotel Liverpool.

What a glorious day shooting Jemima and Ludovic’s St George’s Hall and Hope Street Hotel Liverpool wedding photography. I met up with the party at the magnificent St George’s Hall in Liverpool city centre, home to Liverpool’s registry office. As always, it was really busy with weddings and lots of people around. When I arrived, all the guests were there as the majority had travelled over from Switzerland. Both Jemima and Ludovic are from Switzerland, but are here while Jemima studies and Ludovic is working as an engineer on the new Runcorn Bridge.

According to Jemima, he main reason they booked me to shoot their wedding was the natural and artistic style of my images they had seen on Instagram. The natural and unobtrusive style of wedding photography was just what they wanted for their day. This means a wedding can be all about getting married and not all about being ordered around by the photographer!

The intimate ceremony was lovely and was also being streamed live to the families back in Switzerland. We then headed outside into the glorious sunshine for some relaxed group shots and some beautiful portraits. Now, my French/ Swiss isn’t up to much, but I was helped along by the bride’s brother Josh. We moved through the group shots before making some gorgeous portraits of Jemima and Ludovic, much to the amusement of a group of kids who followed us around the garden!

City Centre Chic!

Following the ceremony at St George’s Hall, the whole party headed to the chic setting of The Hope Street Hotel.  The hotel is pretty much bang in between Liverpool’s 2 cathedrals. If you are looking for a stylish, chic wedding location in Liverpool then Hope Street Hotel may be your perfect choice. Hope Street hotel is Liverpool’s first and most prestigious independent boutique hotel. There is a fantastic team paying attention to every detail. We were up near the top of the building with spectacular views across the city centre and out over the river. All the guests made the most of the view and the beautiful weather as they enjoyed drinks and canapés before the meal.
